More than 70,000 people took part in the UK’s largest cycling festival at the weekend, which involved a 100-mile cycle from London to Surrey.
The Sunday cycle began at the Olympic Park and finished on The Mall, the weekend also involved two full days of professional racing and amateur rides. Crowds took to the streets of London to cheer on the people taking part in Ride London.
There were a few well-known faces taking part in the cycle including the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. Boris and his team of 35 others were raising money for three different charities. Olympic rower and motivational speaker, James Cracknell also took part in the event as well as England Rugby player, Matt Dawson and the Olympic sprint hurdler, Sally Gunnell.
The weekend of cycling was a huge success and Boris praised the crowds for being wonderful.
