One of the best ways to keep up with what is happening in the world today is through twitter and a recent article has exposed the top 10 economists to follow in order to learn more about the economy.
The article explains that economists have the ability to fit a sufficient amount of information into their tweets on topics such as the purchasing manager’s index, our base rate and GDP. Thus followers can see the differing opinions of economists and their views on the current economic climate.
The top 10 economists to follow on twitter include Andrew Sentence, a former member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, Andrew Lilico- the managing director of consultancy Europe Economics and an expert on financial regulation. Also featured are ex MPC member Danny Blanchflower, former advisor to the UK treasury, Diane Coyle and Faisal Islam, who is the economics editor of Channel 4 news.
The other names on the list were Jonathan Portes, Chris Dillow, Matthew Sinclair, Sam Bowman and Ros Atman, all of whom are distinguished economists.
