The end of June is upon us and brings with it one of the Nations favourite sporting events. Wimbledon is back for another year and we can expect to see some familiar faces.
The next two weeks will see the best players in the world battling to become the next Wimbledon Champions. The first day of the tournament saw double Wimbledon Champion Rafael Nadal knocked out in the first round in straight sets to the unseeded Belgian, Steve Darcis.
Meanwhile, Andy Murray had an impressive straight set win in his first match of the tournament against Benjamin Becker. Roger Federer, Lleytin Hewitt and Maria Sharapova also won their first round matches.
The BBC will broadcast the tennis on BBC One and Two and all matches can be viewed on the interactive channels. As always there is live match coverage, analysis and interviews from some of the greatest names in tennis including Sue Barker, Andrew Castle, David Llyod, Pat Cash, Tim Henman and John McEnroe.
This year there will be 10 live streams available through Connected TV’s, online and mobile, including the latest news, highlights and videos, allowing tennis fans to be kept updated at all times.
