TV presenter and producer, Andy Shepherd rose to fame when he presented all the sports coverage on the SBTV network. Now a cemented name in showbiz, he hosts for well-known brands, and produces successful comedy and entertainment projects and campaigns. Switched-on, light-hearted and professional, Andy is an excellent awards host.
A popular awards host, Andy Shepherd is an experienced TV presenter and producer working across sports, entertainment, comedy, factual and documentaries.
He particularly well-known for his time on SBTV and Gaff TV, and has interviewed the likes of Daniel Sturridge, David Luiz, and the entire New York Knicks basketball team.
Andy's career began with the prestigious comedy production company Big Talk Productions, working on award-winning productions Rev, Free Agents, Friday Night Dinner, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Paul.
Combining his passions for sport and television, he decided to pursue his ambition of presenting and rose to fame as the host of all the sports content across the SBTV network.
This soon led on to Andy being selected from over 20000 applicants to make the final 10 in CBBC’s ‘Blue Peter – You Decide’, the show’s search for a new presenter.
More exciting opportunities in television swiftly followed and, in 2014, Andy joined the Dave Channel to host one of their most popular shows, Red Bull Cliff Diving, which saw him travel the world covering the breath-taking sport that looks set to feature in future Olympic Games.
The same year, he went on to present more content for SBTV, including content from The BRITS for sponsor V05.
During his career, Andy has worked with Samsung, hosting events and presenting videos to launch their products; developed a radio show for a major broadcaster; and collaborated on a regular basis with YouTube star Emily Hartridge on her channel.
In 2015, he became the host of BAMMA, Europe’s leading MMA organisation, fronting their events as they are broadcast live on SPIKE TV in the UK and around the world. His co-hosts have included David Haye, Carl Froch and Malcolm Martin.
He kicked off 2016 by hosting Haye vs. De Mori: The Countdown on DAVE (part of the channel’s record-breaking first forays into live sports broadcasting) and went on to front press conferences for David Haye’s much-anticipated comeback.
Alongside his passion for presenting, Andy is a talent behind the camera. Working across comedy, documentary, sport, music and virals, he has a growing reputation as a producer, director and comedy writer.
Recent projects have seen him work with One Direction, Jimmy Carr, Jack Whitehall, Russell Brand, Gary Barlow and James Corden, to name a few. Recently, he produced The Winning Formula, an innovative online documentary series exploring the use of data analytics in elite sport.
Passionate about travel (Central America is next on his list), Andy filmed a travel series for Guardian Online.
He also presented Channel 4’s For 3 Minutes series; appeared as a regular contributor on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side for Channel 5; and regularly writes for Buro 24/7 and The Huffington Post.
