Tom Bradby Biography

As the former Political Editor of ITV News, current presenter of the ITV evening news, and best-selling novelist, Tom Bradby’s reporting career began at the channel’s Ireland bureau as Ireland Correspondent where he reported extensively on the dynamic, chaotic and thrilling peace process. During this time, he penned his first novel, Shadow Dancer, which became an international best-seller.

In 1991 Tom was appointed Asia Correspondent, and whilst covering a riot in Jakarta he was shot. Following his recovery with a spell as ITV’s Royal Correspondent, Tom took up his current post as political editor in the summer of 2005. He has since written five novels and a screenplay, and was ITV’s main General Election reporter in 2015.
