John Humphrys Turns 70

16 August 2013

BBC Broadcaster and political speaker , John Humphrys turns 70 this month and has no plans to retire any time soon.

It is believed that when the subject of retirement is brought up in front of John , he speaks about his great admiration for David Attenborough, who is still chasing animals around the world at the age of 83. John’s role model is the broadcaster Alistair Cooke, who was still writing letters from America until he was 90 years old.

John has presented the Today show for decades, however it is currently undergoing another reshuffle and as of next month there will be six presenters but only three regular reporters. John is contracted with the Today show until December this year.
