As a child LJ loved both music and technology. Fascinated by the nexus of liberal arts, technology and social tech trends, LJ enjoys finding unexpected connections between these areas. From the age of three, LJ sat at the piano, playing along with the radio. Aged eleven, she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal College of Music. She now holds a masters degree in Music from Christ Church College, Oxford. Since then she’s sound engineered for Pete Waterman, toured the USA in a Rock Opera band, and lectured at Harvard. LJ has both synesthesia and the rare auditory phenomenon ‘Perfect Pitch’.

From using data analysis to define the ultimate dance anthem, to subverting London’s Bluetooth beacons and turning them into a musical installation, LJ seeks out the more eccentric end of where humans, creativity and technology meet. A rare female voice in the tech world, LJ delivers presentations around developing tech trends and has also interviewed some of the biggest leaders in technology and culture, from the CEO of Google and Twitter through to Brian May and Stevie Wonder.

Further to tech trend presentations, LJ has created unique talks where she combines music and innovation; taking you on a hyper-immersive journey of her synesthesia condition (using sound and smell) or performing on piano whilst sharing a musician’s guide to innovation.

LJ regularly writes and presents for BBC national television and radio, explaining trends and concepts in technology, social media and consumer electronics. She has also built interactive musical installations for SXSW, Harvard, Bestival UK and Nocturnal Wonderland in L.A.

LJ is fascinated by AI and Technology trends in Customer Experience, and manages to simplify these complex topics through musical keynote presentations that will leave the audience with a whole new wealth of knowledge of digital transformation and the future of human experience.
