Matt Richardson is a multi-award-winning stand-up comedian and a standout figure in UK comedy, known for his work across television and radio.

He began his comedy journey in 2009 at just 18, swiftly making his mark as one of the youngest talents in the business. Early on, Matt reached the finals of two major comedy competitions – "So You Think You’re Funny" and the "Chortle Student Comedy Award", while also earning accolades as runner-up in the "Reading Comedy Festival New Act of the Year" and winning both the Newbury and Bath Comedy Festival New Act competitions – all before turning 20.

Now a staple in the UK’s top comedy venues and a seasoned performer internationally, Matt has cemented his reputation as one of the most dynamic and dependable comedians on the circuit. His role as host of Virgin Radio’s "Drivetime Show" earned him an ARIA Award nomination for Funniest Show in 2019 and won him the title of Presenter of the Year at the Wireless Awards the same year.

Matt’s impressive TV portfolio includes hosting "The Hangover Games" (E4) and "The Red Bull Soapbox Race" (Dave) in 2019, as well as "Celebrity Haunted Mansion" and "Celebrity Haunted Hotel" (W) with Christine Lampard, along with various spin-off shows. His documentary work includes "Pampered Pooches: Hollywood" and "Meet The Family Guys" for ITV2, filmed in Los Angeles, and MTV’s "Just Tattoo of Us: The Aftermath". He made his presenting debut on "The Xtra Factor" (ITV2) in 2013, co-hosting with Caroline Flack at only 22.

In addition to hosting, Matt has appeared on a wide array of hit shows, including "Roast Battle" and "Drunk History" (Comedy Central), "Never Mind The Buzzcocks", "Celebrity Juice", "The Chase: Celebrity Christmas Special", "The Chris Ramsey Show", "Top Gear: Extra Gear", "Love Island: Aftersun", and numerous spin-offs.

Matt’s first tour, "Hometown Hero", launched in 2013 and played to 54 dates across the UK. After a break, he returned to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 with "Slash", receiving several five-star reviews and embarking on a 60-date tour. His latest show, "Imposter", premiered at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, marking yet another exciting chapter in his career.
