High profile businesses and cultural speakers, including Bono and Robert DeNiro will swap the red carpet for the white slopes of Davos to attend the annual World Economic Forum.
Most of the forum's keynote speeches will be made by Europe's top politicians: UK Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
The get-together of global speakers includes representatives from many diverse fields. The guest list includes young entrepreneurs; spiritual and cultural leaders; heads of major international organizations and businesses, and a few celebs.
For more than four decades, the Annual Meeting has given a platform to leaders from industry, government, academia, civil society and the media in the hope of shaping the global agenda.
The event is a talking shop and a networking event – geared towards setting the agenda, generating new ideas and building bridges.
