One of the UK's favourite TV cooks has spent decades teaching us how to cook our favourite dishes with her television series and cookery books.
The BBC2 series 'Delia through the Decades' celebrates Delia's career. The charming series includes TV clips of comedians impersonating Dame Delia - Delia's favourite being Rory Bremner as Delia teaching how to boil water. Another highlight is a cosy chat with Stephen Fry over afternoon tea and cakes looking back over the some of the highlights, as well as causing uproar over How to Cheat at Cooking — the series that sent sales of frozen mash rocketing, but also sent Delia's critics shouting loudly.
Delia Smith received an OBE and in 2009 was honoured with a CBE in recognition of her contribution to television cookery and recipe writing.
As well as the cookery books and television programmes, Delia is renowned for her involvement and love of Norwich City FC.
