Entrepreneur Sir James Dyson plans to recruit 350 more engineers and scientists

27 April 2010

Dyson products, including the bagless vacuum cleaner, the ball barrow and the ball vacuum cleaner, have been some of the most innovative products designed in the UK.

The entrepreneur and founder of the company, Sir James Dyson will double the number of people employed in it's UK research and development department, taking the number of scientists and engineers from 350 to 700.

Dyson thinks that environmental challenges make engineering a particularly attractive job "In the past it was about making things faster or bigger or making something in a more dramatic fashion. Now is the time to solve the very difficult [environmental] problems, but I know we can do it."
