Former STV presenter Sarah Heaney tells the Scottish Sun how she feels about being back on the screen for the first time in six years.
Sarah presented an ITV1 Daybreak special Downsize In Dubai, where she put unfit viewers through a boot camp on the beaches of the Middle Eastern city.
She laughs about the envious reaction of her friends when she told them how she would be making her comeback: “Yes, a lot of my girlfriends have sent me texts saying you lucky so-and-so, although my husband wasn’t quite as enthusiastic!”
Former model Sarah was an STV regular for seven years after she joined the news team in 1999. In 2006, she took a redundancy package and moved to London.
Her last foray in front of the camera was daytime holiday show Wish You Were Here... Now And Then.
Sarah is well aware of what life in front of the camera entails.
She says: “I’ve been in the TV business a long time and I’m lucky to do a job I really enjoy.
“But I don’t take it too seriously, because I know one minute you’re hot to trot, the next you’re out on your ear.
