Duncan’s amazing success with BT Swimathon is well known.  From it’s inception in 1988, Swimathon has raised over £10m for worthwhile causes and is one of BT’s most profitable and highly-regarded sponsorship campaigns.

Duncan has been instrumental in the success of the BAA Youth Games, encouraging young people to participate and attain their goals.  Duncan, together with other legendary athletes including Sally Gunnell, Steve Cram, Trevor Brooking etc, do a brilliant job by giving their time and encouragement to thousands of youngsters.  With his charismatic personality and Olympic achievements, Duncan is a role model for the young.

Duncan’s considerable sporting and business experience, combined with his pleasing manner, informed approach and articulate delivery, make him a natural choice for all corporate events.  He is first and foremost a motivational speaker, but with many anecdotes and funny stories, he is also on the after dinner speaking circuit, as well as being available for personal appearances and team building events.  Duncan Goodhew is a much-admired personality, he is a true professional, giving total commitment and enthusiasm to every project.

From 1981 to date, Duncan has presented hundreds of motivational speeches to many of Britain’s leading companies, including Exxon, Prudential, IBM and Coutts, and set up an Executive Survival Clinic for Coopers & Lybrand.

In his book Sink or Swim, Duncan has drawn from the events of his own life and the long and arduous grind of training for competitive swimming - where your skills will be judged on a performance which is over in just a few minutes.

He addresses issues such as 'how to get yourself motivated and stay motivated' and that 'success is an entirely individual matter'. These can be applied to home and family as well as the work place and he focuses on the importance of setting your own criteria for achievement, rather than trying to meeting the expectations of others - it redefines the nature of success, and how to achieve it.

Fix Your Life - Now is a self-help book for men who never read them.  It covers re-motivating, having great sex, getting fit, de-stressing and working smart.
