Harriet Minter

Harriet Minter is a journalist and broadcaster, she was the founding head of the Guardian Professional's Women in Leadership initiative. Interviewing countless successful women and sharing their stories with the public, she continues to specialise in women in leadership. Harriet writes a column for the Guardian on Women in Tech, hosts the Badass Women's Hour on Talk Radio and is an influential figure for women in business.

She writes a column for the Guardian on Women in Tech. She is also a columnist for Psychologies magazine and hosts The Badass Women's Hour on TalkRadio. She's written for countless prestigious publications including The Times, Huffington Post and The Pool.

Previously, Harriet worked as a commissioning editor for a range of sections on the Guardian and ran the engagement and social media strategy for the Guardian’s Professional Networks. She is a social commentator and an expert on both how the future of work is changing and structural organisation. Before working for the Guardian, she founded a start-up and took it from inception to £13m.

Harriet’s journalistic career began at RollOnFriday.com, the leading community site for lawyers. She talks about lessons in leadership; growing your own brand, and resilience, in which she examines how pulling your focus back to your strengths is the most effective way of achieving success. She can also touch on building a start-up online, and how to create an office environment in a virtual world.

She is also able to talk about gender diversity in the workplace and Harriet can share her own motivational success story, accompanied with practical business takeaways.

Harriet also sits on the B2B Council for the Internet Advertising Bureau and is a member of Fujitsu’s stakeholder panel.

She is a regular speaker on women's rights, the future of work, and digital media. In the past two years she's given two TED Talks, the first on the importance of learning to fail and the second on yoga, which have had tens of thousands of views.

Through her work, she has interviewed a range of leading women from MPs to entrepreneurs and celebrities, including Sheryl Sandberg, Arianna Huffington and Tamara Mellon. Harriet can intelligently compare their key skills and help us all apply these to our working lives. She can adeptly entertain an audience with brilliant anecdotes from her vast career and share her leadership tips in an educational keynote.
