James May is a TV Presenter, after dinner speaker, and motoring journalist. James has presented on Channel 4’s Driven and was one of main presenters on Top Gear for BBC2.  He is a very relaxed and professional presenter with a sharp dry wit and an exuberant personality, making him the ideal choice as an after dinner speaker at corporate events.

Christmas 2005 saw James in his very own BBC2 special James May’s Top Toys, re-living his childhood: playing with machine guns, blowing up “Action Man” and recreating model train history. The show was a great success with a call for more solo projects.

A freelance writer for many years, James has contributed to Car Magazine, The Scotsman, Country Life, One, the Daily Express and various technology and travel titles. James is a regular contributor and columnist for Top Gear Magazine, a weekly columnist  for The Daily Telegraph, and a regular contributor to Conde Nast Traveller.

James has a keen interest in cars that are either very posh or very basic and has a passion for motorbikes.
