In pursuit of his dream to create global brands that facilitate the perfect journey,  keynote speaker  Rob Law has travelled the bumpy road of starting up a business, gaining invaluable lessons about innovation , brand-building , and  leadership  along the way.

The creator of innovative luggage concept Trunki, the first ride-on suitcase for kids, Rob managed to deliver an innovative product to market against all odds, turning initial negative PR surrounding BBC Dragon's Den into an advantage.

A template for UK business and manufacture, his company focusses on mould-breaking design-led products that compete on quality and value, not just cost.

Rob first came up with his 'tots-eye-view' design while he was studying product design at university. A regular business traveller, he noticed that children get bored during journeys and transformed this fleeting thought into what is now a market leader.

After launching in 2006, Trunki has received numerous industry and consumer accolades, including the much-coveted National Business Award-The Santander Small to Medium-Sized Business of the Year.

His independent design studio Magmatic ltd. is dedicated to the invention and distribution of iconic yet attainable products for tots on-the-go. All of its creations, including Trunki, are designed in England and distributed worldwide, with a range that has expanded to the likes of BoostApak, the innovative booster seat that doubles as a back pack, and Yondi, a cuddly travel chum which doubles as a travel pillow.

Rob has now set his sights on the next generation in the form of Jurni, a new sit-on, carry-on case, which is ready to hit the market after four years, hundreds of prototypes, and various technical challenges later.

He also prides himself on the open, non-hierarchical work environment that operates at Trunki's HQ; designed to encourage creativity and communication between all departments.

Rob is a real champion of British design and manufacturing, and a campaigner for better intellectual property rights for the creative industries.

As well as being awarded an MBE for his Services to Business, the adventure junkie can commonly be found mountain biking, 'attempting to' surf, or getting ready for his next marathon when he's not designing tomorrow's must have on-the-move products.

His speaking topics include:

- Bringing an innovative product to market (against all odds!)
- Brand-building: who is your end-user
- HR: leadership, creativity, communication, and teamwork
- UK design, manufacture and export
