Speakers Corner invites you to join us for a champagne reception on September 23rd at 5.30pm at Square Meal – the ultimate trade show for event organisers – in the heart of the City of London.
The day will comprise of two sessions. At 3.30 you’re welcome to join us for a fireside chat with Sahar Hashemi OBE, founder of Coffee Republic and serial entrepreneur, hosted by Nadine Dereza, award-winning journalist and co-author of Insider Secrets of Public Speaking.
The second session is on Speakernomics: The changing voice of British business. At 4.30, Nick Gold, Speakers Corner MD and chairman of the IASB will lead the discussion. From comedians and comperes to masterclasses and motivational gurus, find out how speaker enquiries are mirroring the wider economy. The panel will include Tim Chudley – leader of Sundial Group, the specialist owner operator of venues, provider of meetings services and learning and development resources; and Kevin Jackson, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing EMEA for Jack Morton Worldwide and an influential keynote speaker.
Nick Gold will use over 5 years of 'Speakernomics' research to understand the enduring appeal of comedy and how the economy affects our keynote speakers. The panel will further give the opportunity, through best practice, to look at how relevant speakers are sourced according to sector, including some anecdotes of getting it right and getting it wrong.
The session will be followed by a champagne reception at 5.20 – and we would love to invite you for a sip of bubbly and an opportunity to network and chat.
