On Wednesday September 11th, 2013, Speakers Corner teamed up with the Brewery in London, to present three top innovation speakers and a dazzling presenter to bring our clients an outstanding evening of scintillating chat, mouth-watering canapes and productive networking.
We were overwhelmed by the incredible response of guests to our outstanding speakers: Flying in from the West Coast of the USA especially for the event, was Harvard graduate and two-time Emmy nominated speaker, Leonard Brody. Leonard has founded numerous companies; raised millions of dollars for business start-ups; launched the Coachella music festival, and currently owns an English Football Club.
His take on the future of technology and the way in which he linked historical events to the world we live in, was awe-inspiring and unique. Guests flocked around him at the networking stage of the event, to glean some of the incredible insights and to bask in the impressive persona of a deeply intelligent and insightful speaker.
Marketing Speaker, company incubator and branding expert, Alex Hunter, also took the stage. Alex previously worked as the global Head of Online Marketing for the Virgin Group, curating the Virgin brand’s global digital strategy. He is now CEO of Rushmore.fm, a new and innovative music ecosystem set to take the music industry by storm.
His take on the power shift in branding elicited a storm of questions from the audience, and when he said "we acknowledge that our customers and users are people...it's about getting the little things right" – he had us rapt!
Shaa Wasmund is the founder of Smarta, the UK’s leading support platform for business owners and entrepreneurs. She also played a vital role in launching the Dyson brand from its humble beginnings.
She is an entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word and a major player in the digital space. Shaa explored the issue of small business versus big business and projected her view that if we all work together, the business community will thrive.
The evening was hosted by leading broadcaster and journalist Kate Silverton, who facilitated the speaking rota and provided value and insight into the content of the event.
