This year’s Ted Global conference took place in Edinburgh at the Edinburgh International Conference Center. Some of the world’s most accomplished speakers took to the stage to talk about the political, economic and environmental issues that we face in today’s society.
The conference took place over five days, each day there were different discussion sessions, where the most distinguished speakers in each field communicated their experiences and opinions to audiences.
Bruno Giussani hosted the first session, called ‘Moment of Truth’ which involved discussions with former Greek Prime Minister, George Papandreou, women’s rights activist, Manal Al-Sharif and corporate innovator Steve Howard.
Some of the other sessions at Ted Global included ‘Exquisite Enigmatic Us’, which involves a speech from singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield and ‘Money Talks’, involving a handful of expert economists. A number of the sessions were hosted by Chris Anderson as well as Bruno; Chris hosted ‘Listening to Nature’, ‘Imagined Beauty’ and ‘Money Talks’.
Keynote speaker and global economist, Dambisa Moyo also appeared at Ted Global where she discussed ‘Forces of Change’ alongside the former Prime Minister-Elect of Libya, Mustafa Abushagur and other impressive names.
The aim of Ted Global 2013 is to bring people together who have the expertise and experience to teach audiences how to install positive change in our society, despite the ongoing problems that occur.
