Born in the North East of England with lots of love, encouragement and support from her family, Beth started her illustrious career with the local team California Girls FC. A product of Middleborough's Centre of Excellence, Beth joined Sunderland AFC when she was 16 years of age and turned professional upon Sunderland's promotion.

Recognising the importance of a good education, Beth continued her study at the University of Teesside and graduated with a degree in Sports Development. Since then, she has built an admirable football career.

Beth was named England's Young Player of the year twice in 2015 and 2018. She won the PFA Women's Young Player of the Year award in 2016.

Beth joined Arsenal in January 2017, and her versatility, moving from a forward role to a winger position, has meant she is the mainstay of a successful team. Beth has represented her country at all levels.

In April 2018, Beth made her debut for the senior Women's National Football tea as a substitute in a goalless draw in the World Cup Qualifying games against Wales. Beth started her first match in September 2019, scoring twice in England's 6-0 win over Kazakhstan in Pavlodar.

In 2022, her winning with the Lioness team at UEFA Women's Euro 2022 made it the first major international championship won by an England team (men's or women's) since 1966.

In February 2022, inspired by her experience, Beth and her alma mater, Teesside University, launched the Beth Mead Scholarship, designed to support dual career students to reach their potential.

Beth is actively involved in mentoring students offering invaluable advice and insight.

Beth's determination in dealing with adversity, disappointments, and injuries to come back stronger makes her a genuine role model, superior motivational speaker and sports speaker.
