Ade Adepitan to Present Channel 4 Olympic Coverage

Ade Adepitan , the Paralympian wheelchair basketball medallist, will co-present TV coverage of the London 2012 Olympic games for Channel 4.

Adepitan, who grew up in the East End of London, spoke about disability benefit and how vital it was in enabling him to travel to training and competitions. "Without DLA I would not have been able to do what I did or be a top athlete."

Adepitan said that people "need to get their facts straight" on disability benefits. He declared that Politicians' rhetoric about benefit cuts was in danger of "turning people against each other" and leading people to wrongly assume that "everyone on benefits is a scrounger".
