Businesswoman of the Year awarded to Jaguar's first female chief

American born, Ms Boerio is one of the most senior women in the car industry in Europe.  She has been with Ford, Jaguar's owner, since she graduated from business school 30 years ago.

The award for Young Businesswoman of the Year went to Jennifer Harris, a 25 year old Cambridge University graduate who has set up a strategic communications company called JRBH Strategy and Management and has blue chip clients such as Argos, Alpha Airports and Brunel University.

The awards attracted more than 150 entries from the fields of finance, publishing, retail and executive search.
