Speakers Corner at Confex 2016

With Confex  finishing up yesterday at London’s Olypmia, it concluded two days of activities for the gathered event and venue organisers who came from across the UK to attend.

With Speakers Corner continuing to have a strong presence at the event (on Stand F22) it was account manager, Debbie Price , who represented the company for the entire time. Debbie was joined by fellow team member, Lucia Astratinei and head of marketing, Charlotte Sheridan, to help on the stand.

Debbie, who is no stranger to Confex, had this to say about the event: “Being on the stand is great to have a physical presence at show like this. We can speak to some clients for years, who are based far away, and we get chance to catch up and put faces to very familiar and valued names”. With the stand also being a hit for its ‘homeliness’ and welcoming aspect, this may however have been elevated somewhat by the constant supply of Lindt balls on offer.
Speakers Corner MD, Nick Gold , spoke in his capacity of Chairman of the European Association of Speakers Bureaux (EASB)  to The Association Events Forum at Confex on Getting the Right Speaker for Your Event. Nick said “It was a great opportunity to share ideas with an association focused audience on getting the best ROI from a speaker. With the EASB in its third year and with Nick as Chairman, he was keen to advertise the association’s presence and values - of regulating the speaker industry and providing a voice for the growing marketplace - to an industry related audience.

So the Speakers Corner stand has been repacked and Debbie Price is resting her feet back at her desk while following up on conversations at the event.
