Katie Piper Writes New Book

Katie Piper has written a new, inspirational book called, Start Your Day With Katie.

TV presenter and motivational speaker, Katie Piper, has written a new book to inspire and help others to get through difficult times. The book includes a page a day of positive affirmations and her most powerful inspirational thoughts, quotes and poems that gave her the courage she needed to get through her toughest moments. As she says, ‘Positive affirmations helped me in my darkest times to focus on my health and happiness, and to remember I was not alone. I know how well they worked for me in regaining my life, and now I want to share them with you.’

Katie was a model and presenter who suffered a vicious acid attack to her face arranged by an ex-boyfriend in 2008. The following year she decided to give up her anonymity and work on increasing the awareness of burn victims, starring in a documentary about her attack, Katie: My Beautiful Face, which was nominated for a BAFTA. She has since set up her own charity, The Katie Piper Foundation, raising awareness and campaigning for the specialist treatment she received to be more widely available for sufferers in Britain.

Katie has also written a number of books and featured on television shows including, BBC Breakfast, This Morning and Woman’s Hour. She has also had her own television series, Katie: My Beautiful Friends, where she met and spoke to others with facial disfigurements and disabilities, and featured on the week long Channel 4 series, Hotel GB, alongside Mary Portas, Gok Wan and Kirstie Allsopp.
