Make Someone Smile this Valentine’s Day

February 14, a day to celebrate love. This could be sharing a moment with your partner, friend, parents, children, someone you walk past in the street, people you appreciate in the office… there really is no limit to who you can share love with.

With this is mind, and having such a close knit family here at Speakers Corner, we decided that everyone deserves a rose with a little note. It’s important that we ask, share and care for the people around us, ensuring we make our work environments a happy place to be. When Petra came in and spoke to us, she highlighted the importance of this in a workplace, and to get to know your colleagues and work friends better. So this is us putting the theory into practice!

The plan: To individually wrap each member of the team a red rose, with a corresponding name tag and a little message reminding them they are loved and appreciated. A little personal touch goes a long way.

The goal: To make everyone smile and feel loved.

It’s the little things in life that make such a big difference, and we know that this little gesture will bring joy. It doesn’t have to be a purchased gesture like this, it could just be a ‘thinking about you’ text to someone you haven’t seen in a while, maybe a phone call to a friend overseas, or even just a random act of kindness for someone at work. Today’s the day to do it.
