Will Mo Farah be fit for Commonwealth Games?

Olympic athlete and motivational speaker  Mo Farah has been given the all clear to compete in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this month.

Panic set in when it was revealed that Mo Farah was suffering from abdominal pains and may not have been able to compete in the Commonwealth Games. However it has been announced that Mo has been ‘given the greenlight to resume full training and should be fit to run in the 5,000m and 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games.’

This year’s Commonwealth Games are being held in Glasgow, those with tickets for the athletics will be relieved to hear that Mo will be racing. The British Athletics’ performance director , Neil Black spoke about Neil’s health and stated ‘I expect Mo to be at the Commonwealth Games, That’s the plan and there is no reason to think otherwise. He’s been assessed. He’s got a clean bill of health. And he’s incredibly optimistic.’

Unfortunately Mo Farah has since announced that he will no longer be competing at the Commonwealth Games due to the injury mentioned before.
