Will Whitehorn is new SECC Chairman
Former President of Virgin Galactic and keynote speaker Will Whitehorn, has been appointed the Chairman of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. He will take over from Sir Ian Grant who retired after eleven years.
Will has been a non-executive director for three years and he wikll begin his new position on the 1st of January 2014. Speaking about his new role, Will stated ‘The company has performed extremely well in recent years, most noticeably with the opening of The SSE Hydro - a venue which is set to bring many exciting opportunities to Scotland. I am privileged to follow in the footsteps of Sir Ian Grant, whose guidance and leadership has taken the business to where it is today.’
Will has an impressive background in business, including his position as President of Virgin Galactic and founding Virgin Trains, thus everyone involved with the SECC are excited to have him on-board. SECC
