He created and hosted the BBC’s Outside Source for nearly a decade, and his Ros Atkins on... video series has become a global benchmark for sharp, accessible journalism, described by The Sunday Times as “a new genre of reporting.”
Ros is also co-presenter of The Media Show on BBC Radio 4, and the author of The Art of Explanation, a widely praised guide to improving communication. In 2024, he launched the podcast Communicating with Ros Atkins, speaking to public figures about how they connect with audiences.
He’s also the founder of the BBC’s 50:50 Project, which promotes greater diversity in media content and has grown into a global initiative.
