Greg Williams

Leaders facing rapid technological change need trusted insight that cuts through the noise, and Greg Williams delivers exactly that. As Executive Editor of Exponential View, the essential publication for global decision-makers navigating AI and exponential technology, he shapes the agenda on the most critical developments transforming business and society. Previously Editor of WIRED for nearly a decade, Greg earned four BSME Editor of the Year awards and built an unmatched track record interviewing leaders from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to Prime Ministers and Google DeepMind's Demis Hassabis.

Leaders today face a critical challenge: separating genuine technological transformation from hype, and understanding which emerging trends will genuinely reshape their industries. Greg Williams addresses this challenge head-on as Executive Editor of Exponential View, the publication that the world's most influential decision-makers across business, finance, technology, policy and research turn to when they need deep analysis and strategic frameworks on AI and exponential technology. In this role, Greg shapes the global conversation about artificial intelligence and its practical implications for organisations, helping leaders cut through complexity to identify what truly matters for their future.

Greg brings nearly a decade of editorial leadership at WIRED to this position, where he became one of the industry's most respected and awarded editors, winning BSME Editor of the Year for Science and Technology four times in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2024. During his tenure, he built an unrivalled record as an interviewer of global leaders, from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google DeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis to Prime Ministers Blair, May and Johnson, and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. These conversations gave him rare, ground-level insight into how technology is reshaping organisations and power at the highest levels. His expertise has taken him to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the UN AI for Good conference, Web Summit, Viva Tech, Cannes Lions, the World Governments Summit and dozens of leading events globally, where he has delivered presentations to both public audiences and private clients. Greg also serves as Chair of the 2026 Orwell Prize for Journalism, and his forthcoming book, Code, Capital, Power: How Big Tech Companies Redefined Markets, Reshaped Global Order and Are Transforming Society in Their Image, will be published in 2027.

Greg helps leaders translate technological complexity into strategic clarity and actionable insight. His presentations equip audiences with frameworks to understand how AI, emerging technologies and digital transformation are reshaping competitive landscapes, organisational structures and entire industries. Whether delivering keynotes, moderating executive panels or facilitating strategic conversations, Greg enables leaders to move beyond surface-level understanding to grasp the deeper implications of technological change. Audiences leave his sessions with practical tools to navigate disruption, identify opportunities and prepare their organisations for what lies ahead, transforming uncertainty about the future into confidence and strategic direction.
