Luciana Berger is a highly respected and engaging speaker, known for her deep expertise across politics, mental health, leadership and navigating adversity. With a career spanning Westminster, business and public policy, Luciana brings a unique blend of lived experience, insight and impact to the stage.
She spent just under a decade as the Member of Parliament for Liverpool Wavertree, where she held several senior positions, including roles in the Shadow Cabinet. Most notably, she became the UK’s first ever Shadow Cabinet Minister for Mental Health – a role that reflected her longstanding commitment to improving mental health support and awareness nationwide. In March 2025, Luciana was elevated to the House of Lords in recognition of her continued contribution to public life.
Beyond Parliament, Luciana has held senior leadership roles at Accenture, the NHS Confederation, Edelman and iNHouse Communications, helping organisations to navigate complex challenges with clarity and purpose. She now advises gs8, a forward-thinking UK housebuilder focused on regenerative development, and serves on the advisory board of the Waverly Group – a private investment and business-building firm.
Luciana remains a passionate and proactive advocate for mental health. She chairs the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, is Vice President of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and supports the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute as a board advisor. She is also Vice President of the Jewish Leadership Council, reflecting her wider work in community leadership and inclusion.
Her influence hasn’t gone unnoticed. Luciana has been recognised in the PRWeek UK Power Book and named one of the Top 100 Political Consultants and Strategists in the Mace/Westminster Index 2023. She’s won numerous awards, including Backbencher of the Year, the Political Courage Award, and was listed in British Vogue’s 25 Women Shaping Britain’s Future.
