Tobias Ahlin is a leading voice on creativity, AI, and machine learning, currently Principal Design Engineer at GitHub and formerly with Minecraft and Spotify.


Tobias Ahlin is a digital product designer and creative technologist, known for his work at the forefront of design, innovation, and emerging technology. Based in Stockholm, he is the Lead Experience Designer for Minecraft at Mojang, overseeing product design for one of the world’s best-selling games.

Tobias combines hands-on design expertise with a deep understanding of how creativity and technology intersect. He has held senior roles at some of the most influential tech companies of the last two decades – including being one of the first designers at Spotify, where he shaped the early user experience, and later working at GitHub in San Francisco on developer tools and AI-driven products.

Alongside his design career, Tobias is an Industry Leader at Hyper Island, a digital business school where he regularly lectures on innovation, design thinking, and the future of tech. He’s an experienced international speaker, known for delivering engaging talks that mix data, storytelling, and practical tools to help organisations navigate digital transformation and embrace change.

With a background spanning gaming, AI, product design, and entrepreneurship, Tobias offers a rare perspective on how emerging trends will impact business, and what organisations can do now to stay ahead.
