Speakers Corner is a rapidly growing agency that recommends speakers, and talent for corporate events around the world. Our client base ranges from globally recognisable brands to public sector to charities. Essentially anyone involved in organising conferences, dinners, award ceremonies etc…

The speakers we book for our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds including politics, sport, business, television and comedy. As such, the right candidate should take an interest in and be up to date with current affairs and world events.

We are expanding at a fast pace and are looking for three high calibre, enthusiastic and self-motivated people to join our hard-working team. The right candidates will be dynamic team players, personable, determined, intuitive, and confident enough to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Events Coordinator

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

- Exceptional organisation, planning and scheduling skills

- The ability to work accurately and effectively at a fast pace with great attention to detail

- The ability to use your initiative and be resourceful; we need an action taker and creative problem solver who is always one step ahead

- Great interpersonal skills, confident liaising between clients and speakers, especially in managing each party’s expectations and in conflict resolution

- Confident and with good diplomacy and interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

- The ability to multi task and prioritise on numerous concurrent tasks

- Happy working both independently and as part of a close-knit team

- Willing to go the extra mile to delight clients, assist speakers and support your team, occasionally having to work on weekends and in evenings

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating all the logistical arrangements for the speaker bookings made by our bookings team. This includes the contracting and negotiation, ensuring the speaker is properly briefed by the client, organising travel and accommodation and making sure technical requirements are in place as well as anything else that comes up over the course of a booking

- Working closely with the bookings team to ensure flawless execution of the client’s event. You will build relationships with and act as liaison between the client and the speaker at all stages of the booking

- Helping out in all aspects of the company, such as the website and social media, planning our showcase events and chaperoning speakers, preparing for exhibitions, contributing to marketing meetings, going out to events to meet clients and hear speakers and constantly being on the lookout for new and exciting speakers for our clients

Account Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

- Team player but also have intuition and able to work individually

- Have self-motivation and drive

- High verbal and written skills

- Analytical skills

- Have usual word, excel, ppt skills (high computer literacy)

- Meticulous in detail

- Great soft skills and networker

- Curious mind & outgoing nature

- Able to identify opportunities for both themselves and the company to develop

Your responsibilities will include:

- Receive event briefs from conference organisers and interpret them to understand key objectives

- Ability to question organisers to really understand briefs

- Knowledge of over 6000 speakers in order to recommend appropriate speakers to fit with event brief

- Ability to develop and retain client relationships for repeat business

- Be vocal about ideas to improve business processes

- Managing and organising face to face meetings with clients (accompanied initially by senior representative)

Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Your responsibilities will include:

- Support account management team for securing greater levels of repeat business

- Work with marketing team to develop supporting collateral required for BD role

- Improve processes of using customer data for sales purposes and customer retention

- Identify and develop new and existing client relationships

- Co-ordinate and attend regular face to face meetings to present agency credentials (new and existing leads)

- Actively seek pitch work

- Attend networking events
