This inspiring series returns to our screens tonight with a millionaire with a conscience. Liz Jackson is the first show's wealthy benefactor who runs her own successful telemarketing company.
Liz lost her sight 10 years ago at the age of 26, however this did not stop her from persuing her dreams and ambitions to launch her own company - Great Guns Marketing.
Liz suffered from retinitis pigmentosa – a condition that causes gradual deterioration of vision – and ever since she was a child she’s known that she would one day be completely blind.
Tonight the entrepreneur and speaker goes to South London using the cover story that she’s making a documentary about the challenges faced by blind people in the capital.
The people she meets have no idea, of course, that Liz has a business that turns over £2.5million a year and employs 100 people. Liz acknowledges that she would never have been as successful or as happy as she is today without the support of her family, friends and colleagues, so she’s looking for ways in which she can help spread some of that support around.
As she’s welcomed into the community, the hard part is not deciding which projects should benefit from her donations of tens of thousands of pounds – but lying to all the new friends she makes about the real purpose of her visit.
Catch the Secret Millionaire on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm.
