London’s free business news paper, City AM, announced its UK Entrepreneurs Top 100 on Friday with quite a few speakers making the list.
Compiled by City AM editors: Emma Haslett and Harriet Green, they based their UK Entrepreurs list on a number of criteria including “active users of Twitter and their Klout scores” as well as taking “into account various metrics from Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Instagram, Foursquare and Wikipedia”.
With Virgin boss Branson occupying the number one spot, other notable speakers in the top 10 include: Lastminute.com and Founders Factory founder, Brent Hoberman; Lord Sugar and a number of current and ex Dragons including Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and James Caan.
Away from the glare of TV and it’s opportune for greater visibility Michael Acton-Smith, founder of gadget company Firebox & Mind Candy, makes a new entry at 16; so does speaker, entrepreneur and writer, Emma Sinclair, who makes the top 20 at 20.
The list can be found on the City AM website and is updated every Friday.
