Alexis Conran has turned the world of scamming into an entertaining art form and is acknowledged both as a uniquely talented performer and someone you should avoid playing cards with.
Born in Paris but raised in Greece, Alexis came to London at the age of 16. After studying at LAMDA, Alexis followed a curious desire to explore the art of magic and became re-acquainted with an old friend - the pack of cards.
Within three years he was working as a professional magician in the card cheating niche. Invited to perform at exotic, celebrity-fuelled private parties worldwide, Alexis’s career was off to a sparkling start.
During his time on set as an actor on the horror film Below, Alexis was asked to join some of the crew in a poker game. He quietly noticed one of the players cheating by stacking the deck before the deal. Alexis decided to use his card skills to make it impossible for the cheat to win. The cheat could not accuse him of cheating because he knew that he had been found out. That game kick-started a whole new career for Alexis and his magic shows evolved into exhibitions in fraud, cons, dice, casino and card cheating.
In 2003, he was part of a team asked to advise the writers and actors on the hit TV series Hustle for the BBC. His extensive knowledge of hustling, pickpockets and con artists gave the show an authenticity that didn’t go unnoticed. Alexis was then chosen to star in a new TV show for the BBC, The Real Hustle, which has become one of BBC3’s flagship series. The aim of the series was to advise and educate the public on how they could avoid falling victim to scammers unscrupulous aims.
Alexis is a contributor to BBC’s Watchdog and provides tips for consumers on how to avoid becoming a fraud victim.
Drawing on his personal experience, expertise in magic and mind reading to deliver speeches with a clear message about how to communicate and inspire confidence. Understanding and interpreting body language and non-verbal communications - abilities which are essential every day in working life - are two key messages that Alexis delivers in his keynote speeches.
At corporate events Alexis can adapt his style to suit all environments- from close-up magic to after dinner cabaret. He has performed all over the world and provides a scintillating blend of entertainment and education for those fascinated by hustlers and fraud.

Proving that his talents stretch further than hustling Alexis was crowned winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2016, drawing on his Greek heritage he brought traditional Grecian plates to the table, the success of this won him the crown.
