Given a 10% chance of survival having contracted 3 viral infections - Streph-Pneumonia, Influenza, and Staphylococcus, on a school trip to Disneyland, Anthony Bennett was resuscitated 12 times.

The cause was narrowed down to the air conditioning within the coach and affected 80% of students on the trip but left Anthony with a 10% chance of survival after contracting 3 viral infections - Streph-Pneumonia, Influenza, and Staphylococcus

His white blood cells reduced to zero, underwent a seizure whilst in a coma and was resuscitated an amazing 12 times.

Upon leaving hospital Anthony had to relearn how to walk, talk, and breathe again after spending 3 weeks on an Extra Corporal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine.

After making a full recovery, Anthony played a major role in winning a £7.5m Charity Partnership between Whitbread PLC and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, where he spent 4 years traveling the UK and Inspiring teams to get involved in raising the much-needed funds for the children’s charity. The money raised went towards the construction of a brand new cardiac hospital wing, helping at the children’s hospital to treat up to 20% more children.

With a highly infectious and positive outlook on life, Anthony takes his audience on a capitvating journey, turning a tragic situation on its head to fuel a positive outlook, embracing new opportunities and the power of teamwork.

Drawing on his experiences as a charity fundraiser for Great Ormand St, Anthony shows us the power of saying “Yes” when what we want to say is “No”. Delivered with a rich insight, honesty, humility, and humour, blended with an image based presentation that compliments his story.

Anthony speaks to corporates and the healthcare industry, along with schools and universitities, where his incredible positive outlook and bubbly personality spreads across the audience.
