A professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, teaching improvisation to budding classical pianists and opera singers, Dominic was born into a family of musicians who inspired him from the age of six; 13 years later, Dominic moved to France to perform on the Paris jazz scene, having developed a passion for the genre and playing at numerous gigs as a teenager.

As Dominic's career began to crescendo, he found himself back in England as the resident-pianist at London's premiere jazz-cabaret venue, Pizza on the Park, where he played opposite some of the most prominent cabaret entertainers and jazz pianists in the industry.

Without a pause, Dominic next went on to study composition with the likes of Boehmer and Rzewski at the Royal Dutch Conservatory of Music in the Hague.

Recognising his gift for innovation, the Studio invited him to develop a performance for Amsterdam's 'Electro-Instrumental Music' using live electronics and the Yamaha MIDI Grand Piano. He consequently toured Europe, giving concerts using the revolutionary Yamaha MIDI Grand Piano and producing an ambient piano album ‘Night Music’.

His other popular tours include the Dominic Alldis Octet, which was sponsored by the Arts Council of England and resulted in many subsequent festival appearances, as well as the album ‘Themes from French Cinema’.

A Steinway Artist and an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, Dominic has also composed two books, A Classical Approach to Jazz Piano Harmony and A Classical Approach to Jazz Piano Improvisation.

As founder of Canzona Chamber Orchestra, he provides a range of orchestral and jazz presentations for executive training programmes to a worldwide client-base. Through this, he also set up Fusion Experience, which presents the two contrasting musical worlds of classical music and jazz as an example of how companies can foster a culture that embraces the best of two environments.

His speaking topics include:

- Music as a metaphor for business; live musicians and video extracts
- Leadership and teamwork
- Creativity and innovation
-Trust, communication, collaboration and listening
- Preparation and performance
