Fiona is one of the leading lights of British television. As the former lead presenter on GMTV, Fiona's warmth, intellect and genuine interest drew interviewees to the GMTV sofa from all walks of life for 12 years.

From 1997 to 2008, Fiona Philips was one of the most recognisable faces on British Television as the main anchor on GMTV. After leaving the show, Fiona returned to our screens on the ITV Breakfast programme, Watchdog on BBC One and presented documentaries on healthy eating.

Fiona began her career in radio as an local reporter for stations in Surrey and Sussex. She moved from radio to TV joining BBC South East’s Weekend programe as one of the co-presenters, before moving to the internationaly renowned CNN News.

Viewers would have also seen Fiona present on Loose Women and as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

If you were wondering who the familiar voice was when you watched Shark Tale in the cinema, then you’ll be pleased to know Fiona was the voice of the character Katie Current.

In July 2011, Fiona received an Honourary Fellowship from Cardiff University.

Fiona is an Ambassador for Age Concern and a Patron of Alzheimer’s Society, Barnados, Richard House Hospice, the Down’s Syndrome Society and the Mildmay Mission Hospital.
