John Peters what an inspiration! Most powerful was his totally down to earth and dignified approach towards life threatening experience
John Peters will remain in my memory as one of the most incredible and emotional speakers that I have ever had the honour of hearing.
Like probably all my colleagues in the audience yesterday I was absolutely fascinated by your appearance. Most leadership achievements I know of are dwarfed by yours in adverse (it
seems quite an insufficient term to the horrors you enjoyed) conditions. I tried to convey my impression to my wife and three sons when I got back to Gothenburg last night. I found myself unable to do you justice but from my own account your appearance was one of the most rewarding moments in a long time. Thank you.
As the highest scoring speaker on the programme, John wowed the audience not only with the drama of the story, but also with his humour and humanity. John is a very polished and skilful speaker at the audience on the edge of their seats as he shared his experience has been shot down over Iraqi in the Gulf War. Not only was John an excellent presenter he was also an organiser dream in both his professionalism, his flexibility and his genuine enthusiasm in mixing and mingling with the delegates after the session. He happily spent time socialising with the delegates and answering their many questions. I highly recommend John to any audience.
I have never seen the officer cadets so obviously captivated before: it is a feat in itself to keep them awake, but to maintain their interest is almost unheard of! It is only the second time that I've ever heard the cadets give such a prolonged ovation to a speaker at Sandhurst
The response to your talk has been outstanding. The delegates were deeply moved by your experiences and they have been left with a lasting impression of your bravery and determination. Were it not for your own contribution, we could not have delivered such a successful day none of us will ever forget the story you had to tell and we all feel immensely privileged to have met you
There was no one in the room that wasn't one minute moved to tears, the next gasping or laughing. I know I was riveted throughout your presentation. You have a great sense of humour as well as real humility. It was a truly a memorable experience reach of us at the event.
You gave us a truly inspirational presentation with such emotion, enthusiasm and honesty.
You made an outstanding, and brave and emotionally honest presentation which moved and inspired us all. What you communicated about how you felt and what you have learned about yourself touched a chord, I know, in every individual present -- in a unique and profound way.
I have seen some speakers in my time, but you are the first to provide a presentation that was truly overwhelming. You came across as one of us, a real person and the way you delivered
your amazing story and experiences touched the whole audience, as the content was relevant to every single person. It was powerful stuff and I felt very privileged to have even been there.
There is a definite buzz about the whole division since the conference and I would thank you once again for creating that and the motivation within our management structure.
Your powerful and emotional presentation provided a dramatic perspective to the Challenge of Change theme, warmly received by the immediate audience reaction as you saw. Perhaps what you have not been able to appreciate is the motivational impetus that it has inspired, and for that we must thank you again
