Lee McQueen is the founder of Raw Talent Academy, a company that develops internal sales academies for both SMEs and Corporate businesses providing them the perfect vehicle not only to grow short-term revenues but also to address the balance into long term staffing plans. Alongside the Academy RTA also offer a range of additional services from event hosting, awards ceremonies, employability, enterprise and entrepreneurial workshops and seminars to mentoring, sales workshops, sales training and away days including Beat the Boardroom!

Lee was our featured guest speaker during Global Enterprise Week 2011. He provided a range of inspiring talks for our students across three campuses. He varied his approach to each group and his talks were fun, engaging and inspiring! 

The staff and student feedback was excellent and his involvement was highlighted in the local press. In addition, he was enthusiastic and happy to speak to the students and have photos after each of the sessions. Overall, it was a fantastic day and one that will be remembered for a long time.

'Raw Talent' himself, Lee has had a successful career in both Recruitment and Advertising, went on to win 'The Apprentice' and now launches this business to find and develop 'Raw Talent'.

After working his way through the business, Lee ended my career at Capita as the Sales and Delivery Manager, heading up the IT recruitment division. At that time the division turned over £32million and had around 30 staff; 22 of which were revenue generating. He also set up an academy within my division, designed to recruit staff with limited experience and using strong training and development methods develop them into fully fledged sales consultants deployed within the business.

Lee learnt so much from the gruelling 12-week ‘Apprentice’ process and winning it has only nurtured and strengthened his resolve to succeed in business and to achieve goals

The Apprentice tested his stamina, business acumen, team work, and confidence. Since leaving Lee has set up, along with Simon Sugar, a business for Lord Sugar called Amscreen, a digital media business. As Development Director, Lee was responsible for the development and integration of the business both commercially and internally to enable Amscreen to become the UK market leader in digital signage.

Today his passion is about helping others to realise their potential and provide them with a platform to go on and achieve in business. Having recruited sales people for most of his career Lee is convinced that every business should have a Sales Academy.
