International entrepreneur Marianne Abib-Pech has experienced a meteoric rise in business leadership.

As a keynote speaker, writer and columnist, Marianne positions herself as a catalyst for ideas and change with a focus on unleashing human potential, connecting people through networks, and inspiring innovation and entrepreneurship.

Marianne’s Financial Times Guide 'Leadership - How to Lead Effectively and Get Results' (2013) adds useful weight to the shelves of those looking to improve their leadership skills; highly praised for its transparency, the volume delivers practical steps that can be learned and combined with drive to create strong leaders who are motivated to make a difference.

Her own leadership journey began with Arthur Andersen. Now splitting her life between London and Hong Kong, the former finance professional draws on her past experience in creating deals, strategies and value within a ‘safe’ corporate environment, where, in a mere 10 years, she rose from analyst to Finance Director at Kodak to the Global CFO of Shell Aviation.

In 2014, she left corporate life to pursue a path of self-discovery by joining the entrepreneurial movement. After moving to Hong Kong, she created Lead the Future, a business consultancy and thought leadership platform, which focusses on three primary areas: people, capital, and ideas.

Marianne is a fervent advocate of diversity and ‘portfolio’ life. A graduate of the High Potential programme at General Electric, she has been honing her skills in diverse industries, cultures, languages, work ethics and practices; she specifically discusses the relationship between business and Iran, with attention to the challenges of thriving professionally and culturally as a woman there.

Continually touting the potential of people and their businesses, Marianne is an active angel investor, and serves on the board of a variety of start-ups and investment funds.

Her speaking topics include:

- Personal journey of self-discovery: from Corporate America to catalyst for change

- People: developing the leaders of tomorrow; talent identification and retention

- Capital: Energy and Alternative Investments; providing finance services to SME and start-up

- Ideas: reconciling the left and right brain; becoming facilitators of change

- Business and Iran: challenges of thriving professionally and culturally as a woman; business culture against the political landscape
