Nelly was awarded one of the UK most prestigious artistic awards, The Arts Council England Exceptional Award for her new project Disaster Playground, which the Arts Council termed ‘really remarkable and of national importance’.

As a Designer of Experiences Nelly’s creativity and vision has garnered her a multitude of awards, and high praise from the leading scientists and engineers with whom she works, and from the clients who are blown away by her spirited and mind-blowing ideas and implementation of subversive events and experiences.
Nelly has even taken music into space! Nelly assembled the International Space Orchestra, a group of space scientists from the NASA Research Centre and SETI Institute. This was recorded as a feature film 'The International Space Orchestra', where Nelly's exuberant personality and knack for building a team from different backgrounds made the film a runaway success across the world. The ISO has collaborated with leading figures in the world of entertainment, including Beck, Bobby Womack, Damon Albarn and Maywa Denki, even launching the ISO recordings into space in 2013.
Nominated by Icon Magazine as their 2013 50 international designers “shaping the future”, Nelly is the Designer of Experiences at the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in California, and Head of Experiences at We Transfer. She is also a member of the Space Outreach and Education committee at the International Astronautical Federation and an academic at world leading institutions including the Architectural Association School of Architecture where she is a Visiting Professor.
Nelly is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, in her spare time, she is training to be an astronaut.
