Ralph Ardill is recognised as one of the pioneers and leading authorities on brand experience and has consulted to some of the world’s leading brands, including Carlsberg, Ford, Ericsson, Coca-Cola, Hiscox, Sky and CBRE.

Following spells as a Business Analyst for Laura Ashley, a Brand Manager for CBS Records and devising global Corporate Identity programmes for Enterprise IG Ralph then spent over a decade as Marketing and Strategic Planning Director of Imagination - one of the world’s most successful and admired creative consultancies - where he was the inspiration and driving force behind Imagination's Brand Experience offer and where he personally led the development of the world-class Guinness Storehouse brand centre in Dublin.

Since 2006 Ralph has been working as an independent consultant harnessing everything he’s learned - spanning management consulting, brand strategy, experience design and change management - to help his clients change, improve and transform their businesses.

As a speaker Ralph is particularly focussed on helping his audiences understand why ‘change’ and ‘collaboration’ are so notoriously difficult to achieve in businesses and how businesses can beat-the-odds to get on and get ahead.

Ralph’s “25 year apprenticeship”, as he calls it, provides a wealth of experience and know-how which is encapsulated in his ‘Innovation Experience’ talk. Ralph believes innovation is where CSR was 20 years ago e.g. businesses know it’s important, and they need to be innovative, but struggle on how to best implement. Ralph is adept at firing up the employees to engage in the philosophy which places innovation as a fundamental part of their business model, and his expertise is crucial in demonstrating how this concept becomes reality.

Many businesses of course focus on the customer experience, but Ralph is a popular figure in demonstrating how ‘The Employee Experience’ is just as crucial in delivering growth for businesses. Popular with HR functions and wider business functions, Ralph enlightens audiences on how to create powerful experiences via employees, and naturally dovetails into staff retention and top talent acquisition.

Additionally, Ralph is regularly asked to speak at in-house company events and to leadership teams, often who are on a change in culture programme, on the ‘Power of Purpose’. This popular theme allows Ralph to speak frankly on the opportunities for brands to enhance their relationships with their customers, but also offers a cautionary tale to ensure leaders avoid hidden dangers as they execute their new strategy.

Ralph’s highly personal, often provocative but always positive and pragmatic style that de-bunks the ‘myths’, helps audiences to cut-to-the-chase of how to make ‘change’ and ‘collaboration’ a successful habit rather than a hope in business.
