Katie Treggiden Virtually Visits Speakers Corner

"If we can move away from a take, make, waste, linear model - towards a circular economy, there's more than enough to go around."

This line from Katie Treggiden, a keynote speaker championing a circular approach to design, made us really sit up and take notice during her virtual visit with the Speakers Corner team.

Katie, with 20 years' experience in the creative industries, told us we have less than a decade to address climate change. By sharing stories and research, including a piece from Norway which claimed if the world moved to a circular economy, it will fuel a 2-3% growth in jobs in low-wage countries, predominately for women.

This video, which includes Katie taking some questions from our team, certainly sparks the important conversations we need to have when it comes to climate change and corporate social responsibility.
