A familiar, well-loved face on TV, Helen Fospero is a reporter BBC 1’s The One Show, a position she gained through her extensive career and warm and trusting manner.

On the speaking circuit, she is an accomplished awards host and conference chair with a solid journalistic background and years of live broadcasting experience.

Her natural charm and sparkle allow any audience to feel at ease under her leadership.

Previously, Helen has hosted for ITV’s Daybreaks and the Lorraine show, and she is also in demand as a voice-over artist.

During a long career in broadcasting, she has fronted rolling news on Sky; lived in New York as GMTV's US correspondent; hosted a daily lunchtime magazine show on Five; worked for BBC Look North under Greg Dyke; and travelled all over the world as showbiz correspondent for both Sky News and GMTV.

As the US correspondent for GMTV, Helen was the only British TV journalist to witness the towers come down on September the 11th 2001. She spent the next year covering the subsequent war on terror.

Helen has worked on films for BBC One’s Watchdog and The One Show, and regularly hosts BBC 94.9’s breakfast show with Paul Ross.

She’s a respected journalist with more than 25 years’ experience of news editing, reporting, broadcasting live on location and anchoring in the studio, including 24-hour rolling news.

Her wealth of broadcasting experience has made her a great choice as a conference host and awards presenter. She’s polished, well prepared and clients always comment on her warmth.

Helen is a very experienced corporate presenter. She's hosted major events - both in the UK and abroad - for blue chip clients including Barclays Bank, General Motors, Price Waterhouse Cooper, BMW and pharmaceutical companies.

When Helen isn't presenting she is a regular in Dictionary Corner on Countdown and alongside Heston Blumenthal she is the founder of a spinal injuries charity.
