Since The Jack Dee Show hit our small screens in the 90s, the comedian has become a household name. The stand-up comics dry humour and slick delivery has audiences laughing all over the country. His intelligent, witty style is ideal for hosting awards ceremonies and entertaining corporate events.
Jack began his career as a stand-up comedian in 1986 at the London Comedy Store. Jack finally gained recognition in 1991 after winning the British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Newcomer, he was also nominated for the Edinburgh Festival Perrier Award.
Jack was then offered his own show on Channel 4 called ‘The Jack Dee Show’; the show ran for two series and was described as ‘mean, moody, miserable and magnificently funny’. Jack also got his own Saturday and Sunday night shows with ITV called ‘Jack Dee’s Saturday Night’ and ‘Jack Dee’s Sunday Service’. Jack made his move to the BBC where he presented two series of ‘Jack Dee’s Happy Hour’ on BBC One.
Jack was nominated for a BAFTA for his 2004 show ‘Jack Dee Live at the Apollo’ which ran for two series. He co-wrote the highly popular sitcom ‘Lead Balloon’.
Jack presented the popular Apprentice spin-off show 'The Apprentice: You're Fired' in 2015.
Not only is Jack a well-loved and talented comedian, he is also an actor and has appeared in a host of popular television series including Jonathan Creek, Silent witness, Dalziel and Pascoe and The Grimleys to name a few. He also made an appearance on the West End stage as Yvan in the critically acclaimed production of ‘Art’ and the Wyndhams Theatre.
Jack has won three British Comedy Awards and was nominated for Best Entertainment Performer at the BAFTAS.
