The biggest comedy live stand-up show which took place last week at London's 02 Centre, was shown on Channel 4 last night.

The cream of the country's comedians came together in a spectacular show at London's 02 Centre last week in support of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.  A 2-hour edited version was aired on Channel 4 last night and a DVD will be released on April 26th.

The UK's best-known and most-loved comedians and celebrities supported the cause including Alan Carr, Jack Whitehall, Michael McIntyre, Lee Evans, Bill Bailey, Rob Brydon, Jack Dee, John Bishop, Kevin Eldin, Jason Manford, Jo Brand, Sean Lock, Noel Fielding, David Mitchell, Kevin Bridges, Omid Djalili, Shappi Khorsandi, Rich Hall, Ruth Jones, Mark Watson, Noel Fielding and Jonathan Ross.

Robert Webb, Ricky Gervais, Derren Brown and Johnny Depp, who couldn't be there in person, filmed comic sketches especially for the night.  The evening opened with a raucous dance number from Stomp and closed with a legendary performance from Lee Evans.  A surprise contribution came from One Show presenter Christine Bleakley, who performed her first ever stand-up.

Great Ormand Street Hospital, is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated, children’s healthcare specialists under one roof. Proceeds from the Comedy Gala will help raise much-needed money to allow the hospital to continue to help sick children from across the UK.
