Ben Hunt-Davis MBE is an Olympic gold medallist turned performance coach, known for helping individuals and teams achieve extraordinary results by asking one simple question: Will it make the boat go faster?

With a rowing career that spanned over a decade, Ben represented Great Britain at six World Championships and three Olympic Games. The pinnacle came in Sydney 2000, when he and the Men’s Eight crew stormed to victory – securing Team GB’s first gold in that event since 1912. It was a moment built on years of relentless focus, teamwork, and marginal gains – and it continues to inspire the way Ben approaches performance today.

After retiring from competitive sport, Ben played a key role behind the scenes of Team GB’s Olympic success. He worked at the heart of the British Olympic Association, including a major role in the lead-up to London 2012. As Project Director and Head of Athlete Engagement, he developed and led programmes to prepare athletes and support teams to perform at their very best on the world’s biggest stage.

Ben also chaired the organising committee for the 2011 and 2013 World Rowing Junior Championships – test events for London 2012 – overseeing everything from the event vision to managing 600 athletes from nearly 50 countries, along with 500+ volunteers and thousands of spectators.
