Content is King at the Meetings Show 2019

10 June 2019

If there’s one thing the events industry know how to do, it’s this: put on a fantastic event. Usually one that gets you out of the office!

Every year, London hosts the annual Meetings Show event at Olympia. It’s the time when the meetings and events industry collaborate over a vibrant, 2-day event.

Sounds fun, right?

We’ll be at the event again this year, and we look forward to meeting you!

Our MD Nick Gold  will be presenting on the show floor on day 2 (Thursday 27th June 2019) at 11.50 - 12.10. Don’t miss him!

Nick will be speaking on the topic ‘ Content is King ’. He’s there to cover everything you need to know about nailing the content for your event. He’s an expert on making sure you have the right speaker and comes armed with tips on how to get this spot on!

Appropriate, pertinent, and high-quality content is absolutely crucial to the success of any event – be it an internal meeting, a large conference, or an off-site event. Nick’s insider tips from more than 20 years at the cutting edge of the speaker industry provide great insight to make sure you get it right every single time.

People remember a few things about an event, but overwhelmingly, it is the message delivered that is of key significance. Securing the right speaker to deliver your key messages and core values can truly make sure an event has lasting memory.

If you’re coming to the Meetings Show this year, Debbie , Matt,  Dan , and Yogi (see below!) will be on our stand D706 and would love to meet you!

Additionally, Speakers Corner are working in partnership with the Meetings Show to provide the opening keynote sessions for ‘Bigger Picture’ stream of the education programme.

Gerard Lyons

Economist and author, Gerard is an expert in financial markets and the global economy.

Gerard will be opening the pre-show conference illuminating the audience with the current and future global economic outlook, and what this means for the MICE industry.

Colin Maclachlan

Colin is the star of Channel Four’s reality drama ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ and Channel 5’s ‘Secrets of the SAS’, and will open proceedings on Day 1.

Colin will be using the experience he’s gained over an exciting and varied career to talk about security and risk, as well as the importance of emotional resilience, leadership, teamwork, motivation and performance. He's due on the main conference stage to kick off Day 1, and will pop by the stand afterwards to discuss any questions attendees have.

Carl Miller

Pioneering technology researcher Carl will be taking to the stage to talk about ‘The Changing Digital Landscape’ at 9.50am on Day 2.

Carl will showcase how event professionals have the most astounding opportunities fizzling at their fingertips. "This is a moment full of potential and wonder, you just need to reach out and grasp it." Carl will only be too happy to stick around afterwards and share some incredible insights and experiences gleaned from researching his latest book "The Death of the Gods: The New Global Power Grab"
