We've Adopted a Beehive!

Over the summer Speakers Corner have acquired a few new team members , but new people aren’t the only area we have grown in. We have also adopted a beehive from Bees for Business, which is owned by behaviour expert  Jez Rose .

As an outlet for our business to be a bit more sustainable , we have taken in the little honeybees to help environmental impact and protect the endangered species. Fortunately for us, they don’t live in HQ, but a little farm in-between Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.

The bee population is under threat from lack of pollination, increasing use of pesticides and new diseases. More shockingly, however, 33% of the food we consume relies on pollination by the honeybee. Our eco-system will be threatened if we don’t protect this species, so we have decided to act by adopting our own hive.

Luckily for us, all the hard work of beekeeping is done by the team at Bees for Business, and they send us nice videos and pictures of our fuzzy friends flying around. We are looking forward to receiving some of our very own honey in due course.
